Can You Install Acupanel® in a Bathroom?
Yes… but don’t turn it into a sauna
We know what you’re thinking,
will these panels survive the moisture, or will they wave the white flag at the first sign of steam?
Here’s the deal: Acupanel® looks incredible in bathrooms and adds that high-end spa vibe. But (and it’s a small but), you need to be smart about where you put it.
What’s Fine vs. What’s a No-Go?
✅ Fine: Behind a vanity, on a feature wall, anywhere that’s out of the steam zone.
🚫 Not Ideal: In places where steam collects, or anywhere it’s getting hit with direct water.
How to make it bathroom-friendly
• Ventilation is key: If your bathroom turns into a sauna every time you shower and takes hours to dry out, consider installing the panels elsewhere. Or get a really powerful extraction fan.
• Seal the panels: Applying an oil or wax finish to the wood (like Osmo oil) gives them an extra layer of protection. This helps repel moisture and keeps them looking crisp.
• Keep them out of splash zones: This isn’t the product for inside your shower cubicle (unless you like the idea of swollen wood panels waving at you).
So, Can You Do It?
Absolutely, but just be mindful of where you put them.
