Disclaimer: This tool gives you a good ballpark, but it’s not always perfect.
In situations where your wall height exceeds a single panel, it may recommend a full extra panel for each row,
even if you only need a small portion. Often, a single panel can be cut down to finish multiple rows efficiently.
Also, in some cases, using a mix of panel sizes can help reduce waste and cost.

The story behind Acupanel®
Acupanel® was never meant to be just another wall panel.
It was born from a question our founder, Laurence Freed, asked over 40 years ago:
“What if the walls of everyday people could be crafted with the same care, precision, and beauty as luxury furniture?”
Laurence’s journey with wood began in the 1970s, in a dusty veneer mill in East London.
Back then, he wasn’t thinking about trends. He was learning the old-school way, hands-on in sawmills, alongside craftsmen who treated timber with reverence.
He spent decades rising through the industry.
In the 1980s, he began specialising in premium African veneers, sourced from the heart of Ghana.
And it didn’t stop there.
By the late 80s and early 90s, Laurence was furnishing yachts, private jets, and Rolls-Royce dashboards with rare burls and exotic cuts.
He became a trusted name in the world of wood veneer, known for sourcing the near-impossible.
But through it all, one value never changed:
Quality that lasts.
So when it came time to create something new for the modern home, Laurence asked:
What if we could bring that same premium craftsmanship to wall panels?
What if a panel could be built like fine furniture?
What if it could transform not just how a room looks, but how it sounds and feels?
And with that, Acupanel® was born.
The world’s first out-of-the-box acoustic slat wall panel.
It combined real wood veneer with engineered acoustic felt to reduce noise, improve ambience, and bring natural warmth to any space.
No mess. No staining. No heavy tools. Just instant transformation.
Since then, many have tried to imitate what we created. Panels that look similar, sound similar, even claim the same results.
But here's what we've noticed. When you really live with something, up close, every day, you begin to notice the difference.
The way light dances across real wood grain.
The touch of premium materials.
The way silence settles into a room.
That’s why we’ve never cut corners.
Never chased mass production.
Never compromised.
Every Acupanel® is crafted with precision, hand-oiled by our team, and backed with recycled acoustic felt that works.
Because when you’re investing in your home, your sanctuary, you deserve something you’ll never regret.
Acupanel® doesn’t just transform walls.
It transforms the feeling of the entire room.
The warmth. The stillness. The sense of arrival.
The kind of upgrade that makes you pause for a moment... and exhale.
Welcome to the original.
Welcome to Acupanel®.

Join thousands of happy customers transforming their spaces, one panel at a time.
When our luxury wall panels first went viral, we had a choice. We could have cut corners, used cheaper materials, rushed production, or found cheap labour to keep up with demand. But that’s not who we are. Instead, we stayed true to what made us successful in the first place...

That means sourcing the highest-quality materials from the finest forests on earth, working with master craftsmen, and refusing to compromise on the standards that set us apart.
We know buying wall panelling is a significant investment, and quality should always come before cutting costs or mass production.

How do I install Acupanel®?
Installing Acupanel® is genuinely simple. No complicated tools or special skills required.
In fact, we’ve had many customers who have never done a DIY project install Acupanel® panels themselves in just a couple of hours!
You’ve got two easy options for installation: construction adhesive or drywall screws.
Option 1: Construction Adhesive (e.g., Liquid Nails, available at your local hardware store):
• If your panel needs trimming to fit, just cut it to the correct height.
• Apply the adhesive in a zigzag pattern across the back of the panel.
• Run a neat border of glue around the edges, but not too close to the edge. This avoids any glue squeezing out when you press it to the wall.
• Press the panel firmly into place, and you’re done!
It’s a quick, clean, and satisfying install that transforms your space instantly.
Option 2: Drywall Screws (which we offer here at WVH):
• Line the panel up in the correct position on your wall.
• Start by placing one screw at the top and one at the bottom of the panel, on both the left and right edges — that’s four screws to hold it in place.
• Then, space out two more screws evenly down each side for extra support.
• In total, you’ll use eight screws per panel (four on each side).
Once secured, the panel sits beautifully flush against the wall.
Either method works brilliantly. It just comes down to your personal preference. And whichever you choose, you’ll have your panels up in no time, with a finish that looks clean, professional, and instantly elevates your space.
What is your returns & exchanges policy?
At WVH®, you have 30 days to return your wall panelling order, provided the box remains unopened.
To initiate a return or exchange, please contact our customer service team, who will guide you through the process. Ensure you have your order number and details handy for a smooth procedure. You can read our full return policy here.
Can Acupanel® be installed in a bathroom or kitchen?
Of course! The panels can be installed in these areas as long as they do not directly contact with water. We recommend, where possible, applying a water-resistant finish to the front of the slats to give them an extra layer of protection.
What surfaces can I install Acupanel®?
You can install our Acupanel® panels on virtually any surface, including brick, concrete, and plasterboard.
How does Acupanel® arrive?
Each box you purchase contains two panels measuring 240cm x 32cm. These panels will join next to each other seamlessly with no join line showing to cover 64cm of width.
Can Acupanel® be installed outside?
The panels are designed for interior use only.
What finish does Acupanel® come with?
Acupanel® comes with our proprietary premium satin oil finish which is applied to the panels professionally to give a beautiful, consistent and durable finish.
How do I clean Acupanel®?
Use a microfiber cloth to wipe off any surface dust from the panels. To remove any scuffs or marks, use a damp cloth to remove them with ease.
Can I install these around sockets, light switches and windows?
It's straightforward to install around sockets and other wall-mounted fixtures. You can cut through the slats with a sharp saw to get a snug fit around your sockets and windows.
